Chris Collis Mastering

Chris Collis playing drums on stage

Mastering is the final creative and technical step before the record leaves the studio. I want to amplify the emotion and energy already inside the music while bringing clarity, balance, consistency, and translation across everything from phone speakers and headphones to car stereos, club systems, and streaming platforms.

I bring the perspective of a working musician as well as an engineer. Years of playing, recording, touring, and listening shape the decisions here: what needs more focus, what needs more confidence, and what should simply be left alone.

At the end of the day, I'm not trying to change your mix. I'm trying to reveal what is already good within it, protect the feeling that made you care about it, and help it feel ready to leave the studio.

How we get there

Tell me about the record

Send the release details, notes, references, and anything you are unsure about.

Send the mixes

Once the quote is agreed, you can upload the approved mixes from your private page.

I master the music

The work is guided by the songs, the release format, your notes, and the feeling already in the mix. Sometimes that means careful shaping; sometimes it means restraint.

You listen

You receive a private Samply link for approval listening. If something does not feel right, tell me. I want to work on this until you are totally happy.

The record leaves here

After approval, the final masters are delivered separately as release-ready files for the formats you chose.
